You think there's a witch's brew or potion for eternal youth? Perhaps the Witch Piggy Hyaluronic Acid serum?

Ah, autumn - a beloved season of mine, when there's a nip (or two) in the air, crunchy, rustling leaves with every step and endless excuses to wear cosy knits every day! No better time to review the Elizavecca Witch Piggy Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid 97% Serum than now.

Let's round up some things first - I am not a serum user, not have I ever been. Over the years I have concocted a recipe that works for my skin, and it never included a serum because I felt it wasn't that big of a difference.

Fast forward to a couple months ago, I decided that I'd be a really lousy beauty blogger, if I didn't at least dip my toes in the serum pool. After many days of reading reviews and various studies regarding the benefits of different ingredients, I decided that for starters the With Piggy Hyaluronic Acid 97% serum would be just right.

Why this? Because it doesn't have sky-high promises, doesn't include a 2-page long list of ingredients, 99% of which have never been proven to do anything, and it's quite affordable.
Remember - I don't venture into the luxury brands, because I have no proof they work better than the ones I've tried.

Thus, this quirky box with a piggy, stirring a big cauldron (adorable) landed in my BBcosmetic.com shopping bag.

I've been testing this for 2 months, including a phase where I went off of it - to see how different my skin would feel/look. That's why, I think, I now have a solid base for reviewing the Witch Piggy Hyaluronic Acid serum.

Let's start off with the packaging - out of the adorable box you'll pull out a clear glass bottle. There's a screw lid and a dropper - all glass, all sturdy and I feel happy about the whole situation. No need to come in contact with the product, no possible plastic interaction with the acid - you're safe.

Is it very glamorous - not really, but I'm not buying this for the vanity. This stays in my bathroom, and I do my best not to handle it with wet hands just to avoid the dreaded break.

So far - so good

The dropper is excellent - it doesn't suck up a whole lot, and you only need half of the amount that the dropper pulls up anyway - about 2-3 drops - for the whole face & neck area.

There's is no scent, the serum is completely clear and I like it that way. Sure, peach scented things are fun - but I like giving my nostrils a break.
The consistency is slightly viscous and very slippery - slightly thicker than water (think light syrup) and it spreads extremely well. Sinks in within seconds with no residue to speak of!

I don't have images of my before/after skin - because this product is less about the visual and more about the 'inner' effects. As for those - after using it, religiously, daily for a month my skin was noticeably smoother, more hydrated and generally a lot calmer. Even my psoriasis has faded around the forehead.

After I cut it out I noticed the difference within 2 days - skin became duller, rougher, less bouncy and there were dry patches, again, popping up here and there. Above all, my psoriasis became a bit more noticeable.

I definitely think this made a positive change to my skin - and I'll continue to use this with great pleasure. After about a month and a half, I'm only 1/5th into the bottle - so I think it'll be another 4-5 months before I run out.

If you are looking for a boost of hydration and to smooth your skin, the Elizavecca Witch Piggy Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid 97% serum is definitely a good choice!
However, if you're looking for noticeable brightening or pore-control (ironically) - this isn't it.

For me it did everything I wanted it to - and for ~13$ to top it off. This goes onto the 'Repurchase' list for me, and I'm looking into trying the other serum Elizavecca has - the Galactomyces one.

Also, I would love to hear what your favourite things about autumn are - comment bellow and let's share that delightfully warm cup of internet cocoa!
