Ever wanted makeup that was plucked out from fairy tales? Wait no longer - SwissPure brought in Le Petit Prince for their makeup collection and it's as magical as you'd expect...

I don't know about you, but Le Petit Prince still is one of my favourite books of all time! When I was young it was a constant support for the weirdo in me, and it still is a well of lessons to remember.
I was absolutely psyched when I saw that SwissPure made a Le Petit Prince edition, and even released brand new items in the theme. It was a no-brainer - I had to have these, or I would have never been able to forget about it.

"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."

One of the new releases, rather than theme packaging for already existing items, were eyeshadow quads - Eye Makeup Kit in 2 shade variations. The one I picked up, Urban Bloom Rose, is (you guessed it) a rose-themed quad with coral, lilac and brown shades for a romantic look. The other set, Urban Bloom Botanical, is very neutral with beige, brown and khaki shades.
All together they would form the entire 'rose' - from soft lilac or coral petals to khaki green leaves - but I don't often reach for neutral/beige colours, so I opted to get just the #1 quad.

The packaging is, needless to say, utterly perfect - beautiful white compact with Le Petit Prince imagery and a quote from the book. It feels well-made and is extremely vanity worthy!

There is a small double-ended brush included - and unlike most applicators that come with palettes it's not useless at all! The tapered side is quite stiff and makes for a perfect eyeliner brush - dip it into the brown and proceed to draw a perfect line across your eyelid. The fluffier end picks up just the right amount of pigment, and works well as a shading brush.

The most amazing feature is that all 4 of the shades are matt! If you've used Korean eyeshadows, or are familiar with their trends, you'll know that up until recently it was nearly impossible to find matt finish colours. Even now not every brand carries them, so to see an entire quad is amazing!
Don't get me wrong, I love me a shimmery finish, but there are often times when I want a very soft look and glitter just gets in the way. I was overjoyed to see these colours in matt! There technically is shimmer in the two darker shades but it's not noticeable at all - the finish is absolutely matt.

The formula also did not disappoint - it's smooth and buttery, and blends like a dream. First two shades are sheerer, intended for an all over the lid application, and the other two are highly pigmented are intended to be accent or shading colours.

In the swatches you can barely see the first two shades, and I don't know how to rectify it because in real life they are NOT that sheer! The colours show up, they're just very hard to photograph on my skin...The shades are:

        • Beautiful rosy lilac, very soft and delicate.
        • Gentle peach.
        • Coral rose that is very pigmented and brings warmth to the eyes.
        • Dark chocolate brown that is great for shading or to use as a more delicate eyeliner!

I am absolutely in love with this palette - it brings together a beloved book and makeup, and is absolutely beautifully executed!
SwissPure Eye Makeup Kit is very difficult to find outside of Korea (the brand is majorly underrated in my opinion) but I did manage to hunt it down on Gmarket:
