Happy Monday, lovelies! Time to review one of my Holy Grail lip products - Aritaum Color Lasting Tint.

Color Lasting Tint from Aritaum

I've had Aritaum Color Lasting Tint for about half a year now, and I can honestly say I barely touch any other lip products I have. And I have many!

I first got into these upon their release last Spring, when I was still an office girl.
As you will remember from my Missha Painting Rouge Chiffon review, my job consisted of a lot of face-to-face conversations throughout the day, leaving me with little time (and desire) to constantly check myself in the mirror to make sure my lips look good.

The Aritaum Color Lasting Tint has been my close friend since then.
My SO also weighed in that he likes being able to kiss me without worrying about getting it all over himself ^_~. So this is smooch-approved!
Let's dive into the Aritaum Color Lasting Tint Review!

I love the formula, the applicator, the scent and all of the colours I purchased!
So let's look closely at what exactly is Color Lasting Tint.

I think that the name of the product is misleading. Usually from a 'tint' you expect quite a sheer pigmentation that stains your lips.
This is, in my opinion, more of a lip lacquer/liquid lipstick with the added advantage of a lip tint.

The first thing you'll notice, and it's a little reminiscent of the YSL Glossy Stains, is the applicator.
Oval shaped, it has a little 'well' in the middle that contains most of the product.
The shape of the applicator allows for superb precision, and the 'well' provides enough product for a single full-lip application.

Second comes the scent. The Aritaum Color Lasting Tint has kind of a lemon-y floral scent to it. It's both refreshing and simply beautiful.
It does linger, but I don't mind it at all because it smells lovely!

As for the formula - it's one of more curious that I've encountered. I mentioned that in my eyes this is more of a lacquer - and I'm sticking to my guns here.
When you apply it, it feels both watery and lacquer-like.
Not heavy, you can simply tell it's going to stick around for a while. It's a little tacky, as expected, but not annoyingly so.

It wears as a full colour for at least a few hours, depending on your activities, and when the shine wears off, you're left with a beautiful stain that creates that coveted Korean 'gradient' effect - darker in the center of your lips, lighter around the edges.
The stain lasts. Forever. Okay, maybe not forever, but until you attack it with an oil-based remover.
If you re-apply the lip colour throughout the day, the stain will intensify.

Okay, let's get on with Aritaum Color Lasting Tint swatches! All of these are one coat only - you can see how incredible the pigmentation is.

Color Lasting Tint swatches

Here are swatches of the shades in natural light, left to right:

No. 4 - Pink Soda
No. 7 - Fuchsia Royal
No. 12 - Cherry Ade
No. 15 - Gotham Red

Bellow are the swatches, same order, photographed with flash. You can see the colours look deeper (more life-like).

Aritaum Color Lasting Tint in Pink Soda

Now onto lip swatches.
The top swatches are all one coat, taken in natural light.
The bottom lips show the stain after blotting 4 times with a tissue.

No. 4 - Pink Soda

Lovely cool-toned peachy pink shade.

Has a slight tendency to accentuate lines, but that's common among lighter shades across the board of Korean lip products.

Great daytime colour, especially with a bare face.
Aritaum Color Lasting Tint in Fuchsia Royal
 No. 7 - Fuchsia Royal

A gorgeous fuchsia pink shade with flecks of golden shimmer.

Looks darker in real life, and by itself creates a faint 'gradient' look - darker in the center, lighter around the edges.
The stain is quite intense, and the glitter is more visible.

Probably my favourite shade out of the four.
Perfect 'date night' colour, romantic yet bold and feminine.

No. 12 - Cherry Ade

Beautiful cherry red.
It can appear a little orangey in the sunlight, but photographs like a true red.

Doesn't feather, and thanks to the slight bluish undertones makes the teeth appear whiter. Wears off into a quite natural stain, has that 'just ate a Popsicle' look.

Fantastic shade for daytime bold looks, especially if you're into pin-up, but don't want to keep touching up your lipstick.

Aritaum Color Lasting Tint in Gotham Red
No. 15 - Gotham Red

Vampy, glamorous red shade.
Much darker in real life, and quite dual-toned.

Like Fuchsia Royal, it creates the 'gradient' effect on its own. The darker tone being almost black in person.

Very aptly named, this reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman.
The perfect colour for a night out, or when you want that 'femme fatale' look.

In the photo bellow I put together a very quick 'collage', because I wanted to show you that bright colours are not to be feared!
As you can clearly see, I am wearing very bold glasses, but the colour of my lips doesn't scream and isn't in-your-face.
Each shade has a different character, and with a whopping selection of 15 (!!!) shades, I am many will be able to find at least one shade to their taste.

Where to buy: Aritaum stores, Ebay, Ibuybeauti.com
