Hello lovelies! As promised in my Fall Favorites, I bring you my review of the Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze Gradual Tan body lotion.
This is a sponsored post - I was sent the lotion by Cocoa Brown for review purposes. However, the opinion I'll be expressing here is 100% honest and completely from my point of view!
Are you not into fake tan, dislike sitting in the sun for hours, but crave that sun-kissed glow? Then this is for you!
Lets get into this!

*just hear those sleigh bells jingling....* damn it! Tell me I'm not the only one with Christmas songs already stuck in my head?
As yet another year is nearing its inevitable end, it's time to recap on my favorites from this past season - Fall!
This is my first favorites post, as I usually don't purchase or change so many products every month. However, this Fall was quite active and full of little changes in my life, so I decided to put together a little post on what I've been loving.
At the end of this I'll treat your ears with a couple of music favourites as well, so stick around!

Happy (upcoming) Halloween!
I hope you're having a spook-tacular day/night!
Today I decided to write about something completely different - movies. As the post title suggest, I'll be talking about my Top 5 favorite Halloween movies.
Probably it'll be a little different than most 'Halloweenie' movie lists, since mine does NOT include slashers/horror movies, only frontier fun! Perhaps it'll be an inspiration for your solitary (or group) movie night.
Just for the hell of it, I'll include my (kind of Halloweenie) FOTD with my new hairstyle - I call it the accidental doll look

As promised in my Monday Mix haul post, here comes a review of the new Innisfree Eco Nail Color PRO shades. Read on to find out more about the shades and the collections!
Innisfree has released two new F/W2014 nail varnish collections and I couldn't resist picking up a few of the shades. I love the formula of the regular Eco Nail Color PRO, so I was exited to see new colors to chose from. Although color selection is not a problem when it comes to this line - currently the number of shades available stands at an impressive 119.

It's time for another Monday Mix! This time it's going to be a short one - I wanted to share a little Korean cosmetics haul I just received. Exiting stuff!
There are bits from both new and regular collections. You'll see I got 2 pieces of Honey Black Sugar Scrub, which was one of the first things I wrote about on this blog! I really do love it.
Let me list everything I got:

Look at my Eyes Jewel shadows - #BL605 & #PP504
MISSHA F/W2014 collection:

Aritaum:
Mono eyes shadows - #65 Single Malt / #89 Cinematic / #3 Lady Like / #19 Amethyst
CLIO:
Lipnicure - #6 Rumor Coral & #7 Tension Red

Innisfree F/W 2014 collection:
EcoNail Color PRO - #106 / #107 / #110 / #111
The Face Shop:

Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam
I have to add that not everything is for me - one of Lipnicures (#6) is for my little sister and the Finger Cara mascara is for my mother (trying to get them hooked on Korean cosmetics..so far so good!)
Don't forget to check in later this week - I'll be reviewing MISSHA and Innisfree F/W items, just in case you're interested in getting your hands on them.
That's all for this week's (very brief) Monday Mix - I'm off to swatch everything like crazy for upcoming reviews. Stay excellent!
Don't forget to subscribe and spread the love ^_~

We are smack-dab in the middle of October already! Can you believe it? I sure can't...
I finally have my new laptop send and ready as well as a much more active blogging schedule planned for the upcoming couple months!
I want to talk about something I haven't really touched upon in this blog yet - eye shadows. Since I am certifiably addicted to lip products, I don't actually have such a vast collection of eye shadows, but I do have a few bits that I adore (and a few that I could have done without).
Today I'll introduce you to the three trios that I've put together from Innsifree. Fair warning - this post is rather long!
Interested? Continue after the jump to check out the swatches!

It has been a while! I still haven't recovered all the data from my recent laptop crash, thus I have been unable to stick to my blog schedule. *bows deeply* Do forgive me! However, I still have my camera and plenty of time on my hands, so I have to keep on moving.
For today, I decided to write a post about something completely different - perfume. I just got my long-awaited Lanvin Éclat d’Arpège in the mail and I decided it's as good a time as any to talk a bit about this lovely scent!
Do keep in mind that perfume is a very personal thing, thus, you might not experience it the same way like I did.
So, meet my secret love affair...

It's been a mess of a summer this one! So many things happened, but my main take is that technology loathes me!
Long story short - my laptop crashed. I had it for a little over 2 years now, and somehow the graphics card managed to die completely. Please, tell me I'm not the only one to have such rotten luck with technology, since this is the third computer in the past 6 years...
That's not even the worst part...it crashed while I was writing my Bachelor's thesis...so goodbye graduation, at least for now...
Anyway, my summer was quite fun! Jump in to find out and also browse some photos ^_^

Good morning! Today I thought I'd post something a little different from my usual content - a little 'birthday project' I did for my sister. She just turned 14, and both of us absolutely adore Harry Potter, so I decided to roll up my sleeves and give her a piece of that magic!
I made 5 Honeydukes treats mentioned in the books, purely out of my own imagination, thus I thought I'd make a short series of recipes sharing them with you. Let's start with the first of the 5 recipes - my amazing Fever Fudge!

My oh my, July has been hell (literally). The temperature has been climbing steadily since June, it's almost 30C (or sometimes 35C) degrees during the day now! It's absolutely insane! The one thought that comforted me after leaving Korea was that I won't have to deal with the insane summer heat anymore...I couldn't have been more wrong *insert a silent cry of desperation*
With all this heat I can't bear wearing too much makeup, but I still wear a light dusting of pressed powder and a wash of color on my lids, plus a quick coat of mascara (when I go out). However, I always get home rather late and I usually don't have the energy for an elaborate cleansing routine. Alas, however short my cleansing routine is, I never skip my foam cleanser.
For the past couple of months I've been test-driving a new cleansing foam and I think I'm ready to present my thoughts to you!
Keep reading after the jump!

Top of the morning to you! Hope you're staying in the shade these days, it's mad hot outside!
I finally moved back home from Sweden and have been enjoying the cool darkness of my bedroom the past few days. I haven't been doing much shopping as I've been pretty busy with work and studies, among other things, but I couldn't help grabbing a tube of Kanebo Sensai lipstick at the airport, as it was 30% off!
I've decided to make this review a Minute Beauty post as it's quite straightforward and quick (that's what I'm hoping to achieve anyways). So scroll down to find out more about this little gem!

Hello darlings! Having a good weekend I hope? This entire week has been utterly miserable over here since it's raining cats and dogs every single day. It also happened to be a week where I had to be out every day attending meetings, working and hanging out with friends. However, sun is finally out for the weekend and people are rushing out to bask in its rays. With summer in all its glory is just around the corner, I thought it's time we talk lashes and waterproofing them for those pool parties and beach holidays!
Currently I have maybe 3-4 mascaras in rotation, two of which are Korean, so I decided to give you my thoughts on the newest (and favorite) addition from Missha - their Signature Tornado SC Mascara.

Hello lovelies! How has April been treating you so far? It's spoiling us up here! The weather's been absolutely gorgeous day in day out, for the past two weeks. That, naturally, made me bring out all the colorful things I have in my closet and reduce the amount of makeup I use. Don't know about you, but I certainly hate the feeling of having makeup on when it's hot, so on most days I get by using a pressed powder, mascara and a lip product.
That is why I decided to review the lipsticks I recently purchased from Missha. Without further ado, jump in!
*UPDATE - the lipsticks are now available at misshaus.com*

It was a really hot day over here in Lithuania! I met up with my friend, wearing jeans, a tank top and a bolero, but it was way too hot... We spent most of the day sitting under a cherry tree near a pond, so the refreshing breeze kept things 'cool' for a while.
Later we moved to my place for some *extra* iced teas and Pitch Perfect.
It was a beautiful day, aside from the heat, and I thought I should share some Spring photos with you, lovely people! Most of them are from Korea, naturally.
So, jump in for a chit-chat and to view my 'Spring' album!

Hello there! It's been a while, again...I've been really angry with myself for being unable to update the blog more frequently, however, my life has been choke-full of errands to run, assignments to submit and children (not mine) to babysit. I've started a 'blogging calendar' of sorts, in order to be more punctual and keep up with the schedule I planned initially, hopefully it'll work out!
As an added bonus to my busy schedule, my skin has been out of shape recently. Back in December I developed this weird rash around my mouth, which has never happened to me before (I did some research on it, seems like it's a side effect of using a steroid cream for my psoriasis). Aside from that, the weather here in Sweden has been ridiculously unstable - one day its sunny and warm, the next day wind is tearing off the roofs with rain whipping you in the face. Needless to say, my already sensitive skin turned even worse and its taken me about 3 months of very steady regimen to get it back to its *somewhat* healthy state.
One of the main things that helped me in achieving this is the Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell range, which I've been using religiously day and night for the past two months. That being said, I'm now completely prepared to give you an honest and in-depth review of the products I've tried and what they've achieved.
Read about it after the jump!

What a great Tuesday! It's been beautiful weather out here, sunny and warm, barely need a jacket anymore. And while browsing YouTube I found out that NS Yoon-G released the video for Yasisi! I've always enjoyed her music, although pop, but certainly high quality both music and video wise. What I like the most about NS Yoon-G is that she's always displaying the image of an empowered, confident woman who's sexy, sassy and classy at the same time.
What I noticed in the video was that the makeup was really easy, but still sexy. So, I decided to do a quick tutorial for this week's Minute Beauty showing my take on this look!

Welcome to another Minute Beauty post, this time for a nail polish I got in my Korean beauty haul. I used to be a hard-core nail varnish girl. Ever since the age of 15, you'd rarely see my nails 'bare'. Perhaps on weekends or when I was ill, but otherwise I always made sure my hands were well taken care of. However, no matter how well you take care of your hands, 6 years of constant nail varnish wear will have an impact.
My nails became fragile, prone to breaking/peeling. So back in summer 2013, I decided to kick my varnish 'habit'. I still nail varnish, but rarely, mostly on more 'special' occasions or when I'm in the mood. But majority of my time now my nails are au naturel, keeping them in a relatively good condition.
So, I don't buy so much nail varnish as I used to. Actually, this was my first purchase in a couple months!

Oh man, is it end of March already? Have no idea where this month disappeared... I spent the past few weeks studying, working and sleeping. That's basically all that I had time to do. Wish someone had told me before that the last BA semester is going to literally swallow me whole. But I digress, as even in chaos I managed to put aside a bit of time to put together a shopping list!
As you can see it's mainly beauty products, but I did finally purchase the bag I've been staring at for the past couple months. It's nothing fancy, but it is absolutely beautiful and well made.
I'll be reviewing everything, as for now let me just do a quick run-through:
On the left you can see all the samples I received - amazing, isn't it? As usual, Innisfree was the most generous - they even included a trial kit for Olive Real skincare. Definitely going to put this to the test!
On the right you see everything I had on my list. I picked up a few *NEW* products/colors from the S/S 2014 releases as well as some products from regular lineup:
*NEW* Signature Glam Art Triple Lips SPF10 Lip Cream in #TPK05 Lotta Pink
*NEW* Signature Glam Art Rouge in #109SPK Lotta Pink
*NEW* Glossy Rouge in #GCR02 Miss Holic
Matt Rouge in #MWN01 Retro Muse
Lucid Nail Polish in #GBL01 and #PP05
*NEW* Black Ghassoul Foam Cleansing bar
From Innisfree
*NEW* Innisfree Creamy Tint Lip Mousse in #3 Precious Coral and #5 Vitamin Red
Mineral Single Shadow in *NEW* #35 and #37 and regular #15
Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam
Eco Beauty Tool Shadow Palette (3 slots)
From CLIO
CLIO Art Lipgloss in #A136 Dark Ruby
Well that's it for now, lovelies! Now that my schedule has freed up, I'll be able to get back to blogging on a regular basis (hopefully..)
Reviews soon to follow! Don't forget to subscribe. Are you interested in anything particular from my haul, or have tried any of the products? Share your thoughts in the comments.
Ciao for now!
XoXo,
Specks

Well my Friday has been uneventful, I hope yours was somewhat more exiting! Had an early appointment regarding my apartment, and because I am awful at arranging my schedule, naturally, I stayed up late, thus, spending majority of the day trying to 'recover' the lost sleep.
However, I dare say after waking up the day picked up! I decided to stay in and have some me-time (not quite what you think, I'm sure). So, I spent the rest of my Friday watching English period dramas!
I must say, although personally I dislike the works of Austen for their portrayal of female characters, they sure do make lovely movies (Mr. Darcy and Colonel Brandon are my two main movie-crushes, and I know I'm not alone there!) With a cup of tea and dark chocolate I spent my day swooning over gorgeous landscapes and men on horseback.
Just as I set my bed and prepared to sleep, my lovely upstairs neighbors decided to turn up their music and chatter, making it impossible to rest. Thanks to that I'm here, typing away!
I am going to be reviewing two of my all-time favorite lipsticks that I always reach for when going for an understated but still chic look. And I was inspired to do so by Austen characters, who wore that no-makeup look so perfectly.
Interested in these lipsticks? Read more after the jump!

What's cookin', good lookin'? Oh boy, does it get any cheesier than that...
Anyways - hello! Enjoying the last days of February I hope? We've been having quite lovely weather, spring is definitely just around the corner. I can't wait to see the sun at least on a weekly basis...life's that simple.
While the cold winds still control the weather, I've been doing a lot of cooking at home, since I'm way to lazy to go out (yay for my health); thus, leaving me plenty of time to experiment with ingredients and recipes.
The recipe I'm sharing with you today is 'a la Specs', sort to speak. I've been inspired by the huge variety of Korean jeon (전), a staple Korean side-dish, as well as my quest for healthier foods, which lead me to this interesting yet absolutely yummy dish. It's a great way to kick off spring!
Without further ado I give you my delicious Broccoli-Tofu Pancakes (브로콜리-두부 전)!

Hey lovelies! Having a wonderful Valentine's day I hope? I personally have always found it fun to have a Valentine's day for myself - sleep in (if it's not a work/school day), have a long shower with my best stuff, pamper my skin with lotions and potions and finally cook delicious treats! Basically - single or not, there are ways to show love, especially to yourself :) Here's my Face Of The Day, inspired by Lisa Eldridge's Keira Knightely's Red Carpet Look (link to her blogpost HERE).

Wow...has it really been nearly two months since my last post? Time sure flies! I apologize, especially to myself, since I promised myself to post weekly..
Thing is, after my last post it was finals at the university, plus the Holidays...and then a whole lotta stuff happening in my life that simply kept me from writing (more so from being inspired to write than actual typing).
So if you're interested in seeing my recap for the last 2 months, jump forward! Not to mention, a preview for an upcoming makeup tutorial!
