Minute Beauty: Missha M Sepia Ink Brush Pen Liner Review

Tuesday, December 10, 2013 Catherina F. 0 Comments

Is it Tuesday, again? I'm really lost in time these days, have to check the date repeatedly throughout the day! And with the weather wet and cold outside, I've been really lazy with my makeup these days. Usually, I just use some powder to even out the skin, a pale-gold eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and a lipstick to pick things up.
So I thought I would do a Minute Beauty 'report' on the eyeliner I've been using the most - Missha M Sepia Ink Brush Pen Liner!

Today I'd like to share the first part of my food adventures in Seoul, focusing on Korean food!

Korean Food - Simple Healty Red Kimbap Recipe

Sunday, November 10, 2013 Catherina F. 0 Comments

So I was preparing for my birthday dinner this Saturday (that has just ended) and I went through quite a few of my easy recipes when looking for a snack to serve. Suddenly I decided to look through some of the 'food shots' from past parties, dinners and general cooking occasions, and I found the kimbap recipe I made for a farewell dinner we threw for a Korean friend of mine. She enjoyed it very much, so I thought I'd share it with you!

If you want something that's slightly healthier than a white-rice kimbap, yet still just as tasty and easy to put together, keep on readin'!

My main purpose of going to Korea was, in fact, exchange studies. I spent my spring semester at Korea University (고려대학교) most of my time just being my usual, geeky, self. I'm going to tell you a bit more about the university itself, as well as my studies. Jump in!

Hello lovelies! Ah, I cannot believe that October is coming to an end. When I see my birthday coming up, I really start feeling the cold winter, breathing down my neck..can't help it!
Alas, it is one of my favorite times of the year, it's quite chilly, but not yet too rainy or gloomy, and there are wonderful autumn colors all around. With my mood still quite positive every day, I am enjoying all the goodies I got from Korea the other week. One of these is very Autumnal to me - theFaceShop Honey Black Sugar scrub, and I shall tell the tale of our love! So jump in!

Hello lovelies! How is the autumn treating you so far? I've been loving the weather in my corner of the world! Chilly, sunny, and there's that wonderful smell of burning leaves in the air, mixed with rain (don't judge me, I'm a sniffer). There haven't been too many gloomy days, which means, no time to brood! Excellent, if you ask me!

This post will be short, it is more of an annotation to what will go up on my blog afterwards! So jump in!

Korean Food - Simple Bibimbap Recipe

Monday, October 07, 2013 Catherina F. 0 Comments

Alrighty! I just finished my own impromptu Asian cuisine-inspired dinner  and a conversation with a Korean friend, and it reminded me that I have quite a few Korean food recipes stashed in my drawers. Most of them are really easy and basic, with my own interpretation of some of the ingredients.

Now, I'm not Korean, obviously, but I am pretty good at cooking, and have spent my fair share of time researching and tasting various Korean foods. So, I can vouch for the recipes I make to be true-to-taste!

Today I'll introduce you to a simple yet well loved Korean dish - bibimbap (비빔밥). Jump in if you want to learn how to make it!

This is going to be the second part of my first impressions, focusing on my very first couple of days in Korea and a single most amazing find.

Interested? Keep on readin'!

First Impressions. Part 1

First impressions are important, to some extent. From meeting someone new, to trying a new recipe, it can be the deciding element in whether or not we're going to repeat the experience. And while it is important to take your time in forming a general opinion about something, first impressions leave a mark regardless of the end decision.

Return to blogging!

Tuesday, September 17, 2013 Catherina F. 0 Comments

Oh my, it's been around 4 months since I started this little blog...and I've been MIA for most of the time.
Not good, not good at all!

My excuse could be the fact that I was studying quite diligently and had plenty on my plate to keep me away. I'll strive to be better from now on!

Truth be told, my entire stay in Korea was amazing, and certainly plenty of stories to share! However, it didn't really bring any culture shock, which is the main reason why I wasn't recording my life daily. I know it sounds a little strange, since it was my first time in South Korea AND I'm not even Asian, having spent my entire life in the place where history comes from - Europe. I will talk about this in a separate post, I think, since I want to make this post rather short.

And to end things, I have plenty of topics to cover, from travel/lifestyle to all things feminine. Since I have plenty of spare time ahead, I will make sure to post at least a few times a week, if not every day.

So, grab a cuppa tea and enjoy! Ciao for now!

XoXo,

Alrighty then!

As I've promised, I'm going to write a more in-depth post on transportation in Seoul. Since I spent majority of my time in Seoul, without the need/chance to travel elsewhere, the following information is strictly about Seoul transportation.
